Up and Running in Minutes
Setting Up Auto-Connect
Go to the Automation Center in monday.com and open the Integrations panel.
Select Connect + Sync Automations from the app list.
Choose an auto-connect automation type (e.g. 'When an item is created...').
Pick the board relation (connect) column where the item will be linked.
Select the target board and choose which columns to match items by.
Configure what to do if no match is found (do nothing, or create and connect a new item).
Configure what to do if multiple matches are found (connect to first, or connect to all).
Save and activate the automation.

Setting Up Column Sync

- No. Connect + Sync Automations syncs data without mirror columns — keeping your boards clean and readable without cluttering every column header.
- What triggers the auto-connect?
- Connections can fire when an item is created, when a subitem is created, when a column value changes, or when a status changes to a specific value.
- Can I sync all columns at once or just specific ones?
- Both. You can configure sync for specific columns individually, or set up a sync that triggers on a status change and propagates all matching column values at once.
- What happens if no matching item is found on the target board?
- You choose: do nothing, or automatically create a new item on the target board and connect it.
- Is my board data stored on your servers?
- No. Only your sync configuration (which boards and columns to connect) is stored. Board data is never sent to or stored on our servers.
